from a young age I was entrusted to look after the herding companion dogs and other family pets including cats and horses and the farm animals such as chickens, sheep, goats and cows. Taking care of them was part of everyday life- feeding, cleaning, milking cows and helping animals when giving birth etc.

Our family has comprised of rescue pets such as dogs, budgies, guinea pigs, rabbits etc.
We try to be with them as much as possible and to take them wherever we can.

Elderly canine members have loved to ride in a chariot attached to our bicycles on family days out.

Progressing from a previous life in rescue kennels to representing the UK as part of the team with hundreds of owners and dogs sharing campsites and socialising.
In doing so our canine family have successfully raised awareness for the plight of so many dogs in need of a good home. Our little star made it to the front page of the local press.

Expertise and experience is shared and harnessed for the benefit of animals to protect them by securing better laws and by enforcing existing animal welfare laws
-Acting for the Animal Health Authority prosecuted offences of transporting cows and sheep in wrong size pens and failure to keep records of watering, feeding and sufficient breaks whilst in transit etc.
-Voluntary work in animal charity shops
-Formed a small charity called “ Save the Animals Club” as a child aged 7 which raised money for animals in need
-Members of Animal Aid, a non profit making organisation which promotes cruelty free living and campaigns peacefully against all forms of animal abuse such as unscrupulous activities involved in circuses, fox-hunting and zoo-keeping
Guardians
Honoured to be entrusted by owners to take guardianship of their pets
Examples:
- beautiful Jessie (beloved border collie cross dog of Barrie and Trish from Hanford)- pictured in the flowers below
- a lovely boy who belonged to a sadly deceased client is now owned by other clients of ours after the lady asked us to find a loving home for him when her health was failing.
- we adopted our little Scruff when sadly his owner could no longer keep him and wanted us to have him. Photos of him on the Gallery page before he became a permanent member of our family
- we have been asked by other clients to find good homes for their pets if the pets become orphaned and if we are unable to adopt them ourselves
Also, having worked with elderly and disabled people in Staffordshire for many years it provided a valuable insight into their needs thus meaning when regularly dog walking or pet sitting for them I am able to keep a kindly eye out for their well-being too.
